We have worked with various Universities for the last few decades and have allowed test plots to be planted on our ranch. One such test plot contains roughly 10 varieties of avocados, some still without names.   The university has used this plot to determine cold hardiness, harvest timing, and overall quality of fruit. We’ve had this test plot for 15 years and have kept all the great varieties.
